With the Pointfinder, the Leica DISTO™ D510 takes measurements with perfect accuracy and in unfavorable light conditions. This is a decisive advantage when working outside in sunny weather. Even if the red laser point is no longer visible to the naked eye, the target can be seen exactly in the crosshairs on the display.
Limitless number of measuring options – 360° High-Accuracy tilt sensor
The Leica DISTO D510 Disto Meter is equipped with a 360° tilt sensor. This means that it is not only possible to measure angles, but horizontal distances too! Combined with the Pointfinder, amazing indirect measurement options are provided. Hence, measurements are possible where no reflective target point is available e.g. when determining the height of a tree or when measuring the height of a reflecting glass facade. These could not be measured with a conventional laser distance meter.
Quick Sketching on the Job Site – Bluetooth® Smart with App
The Leica DISTO D510 is capable of more than just measuring. Measurement data can be conveniently and accurately transferred using the integrated Bluetooth® Smart Technology. The free app Leica DISTO™ sketch supports the creation of ground plans or tables on iPhone or iPad. Dimensions can even be entered onto photographs with no effort whatsoever.

Leica Disto D510 Features Minimum / maximum measurement function
The maximum measurement is very helpful, e.g. for finding out the room diagonal. The minimum measurement can be used to measure at right angles to a wall.
Leica Disto D510 Fetures Area and volume measurement functions
With only two or three measurements, you can quickly and precisely calculate the area of a ceiling, floor or wall, or the volume of a room. No need to note down the individual values! The result is calculated automatically and shown on the display.
Leica Disto D510 Features Painter function
With this function you can determine e.g. the total wall area of a room without having to note down any intermediate results. Simply measure the lengths of the walls, which you can add or subtract as required. Finally measure the room height, which is then automatically multiplied by the previously calculated value.
Leica Disto D510 Features Stake-out function
One or two different distances (a and b) can be entered into the device and then used to subtract from defined measured lengths. The display always shows the current stake-out distance and a direction arrow. At a distance of 0.1 m to the next stake-out point, an acoustic signal sounds.
Leica Disto D510 Features Pythagoras functions
Using the tripod, you can measure distances indirectly, horizontally and vertically. The Leica DISTO™ calculates the result automatically for you from three measurements. Functions such as automatic minimum and maximum measurements help you to measure the right point.
Partial heights, e.g. balcony or window heights, are determined by Pythagoras.
Leica Disto D510 Smart Horizontal Mode
The desired horizontal distance is determined using the tilt measurement, even if the object cannot be directly targeted horizontally. This function is very helpful, e.g. if walls, hedges or people are between the instrument and the target.
